WOODLAND, CA (MPG) - District Attorney Jeff Reisig announced today that, on August 22, 2018, a formal complaint was filed against Woodland residents Kevin Anthony Sloan and Joel Hernandez Rodriguez Jr.

It is alleged that, on August 20, 2018, the defendants, both active participants in a criminal street gang, committed a robbery armed with a handgun at a Chevron Station in Woodland, California.  The same defendants then allegedly committed a second armed robbery (that same night) at a Circle K Market in Davis, California.  Defendants then fled, in a vehicle, leading Davis Police officers on a dangerous chase until they were later apprehended.

Both defendants were arraigned on multiple counts of armed robbery with gang and firearm enhancements to all of which they plead not guilty.  The case was assigned for all purposes to Judge David Rosenberg and the preliminary hearing is set to commence on September 6, 2018 in Department 14 of the Yolo County Superior Court.
