There’s no fancy party planned to celebrate Community Business Bank’s 10th anniversary. Instead, the West Sacramento-headquartered community bank plans to give away $10,000 to one lucky nonprofit making a difference in Sacramento, Yolo, San Joaquin, or Solano counties.
“For the past decade, it’s been our honor to help meet the needs of small businesses and not-for-profits in our communities,” said John DiMichele, CEO, Community Business Bank. “Our $10,000 giveaway contest is the perfect opportunity to express our gratitude to a local not-for-profit that is working hard every day to help those in need.” In addition to the cash prize, the winner will receive a full-page ad in the Partners in Philanthropy edition of the Sacramento Business Journal.
Entry period for all nominations runs through September 30th. Here are two ways to nominate your favorite nonprofit: 1. Submit a photo and descriptive post through Facebook or Twitter including the name and positive impact the nonprofit has on the community. Include the bank anniversary campaign hashtag #CBB10for10 and tag the bank on Facebook at CommunityBusinessBank or on Twitter at @CommBizBank. 2. Email your nonprofit nomination with a photo and an up to 250-word description of its value to our community to [email protected].
Community Business Bank will choose five nonprofits as finalists and post the list to its website at www.communitybizbank.com on October 5th, 2015. The nonprofit with the most social and email submissions will automatically be placed into the top five. Then, it’s up to the community to vote online for the winner. For full contest rules, visit www.communitybizbank.com or email [email protected].
