West Sacramento, CA (MPG) - On September 15th, the Lucky Day collection—popular books that often have a long hold or wait list—arrives at all Yolo County Library branches, with the exception of the Marguerite Montgomery Elementary satellite location.

This new collection of popular titles will be displayed on designated shelves with exclusive labels. The Lucky Day collection will be available on a first come, first served basis and cannot be renewed or put on hold. Yolo County Library card holders will be able to borrow two books from the collection for seven days, ensuring a quick turnover of books. Lucky Day items that are returned late will incur the usual fine of $0.20 a day from the day the material was due, with a maximum charge of $5 per item.

“The Lucky Day collection is intended to increase interest at our libraries,” said Yolo County Librarian Patty Wong. “Imagine how lucky you will feel to see the book you’ve been waiting weeks to read sitting on the Lucky Day shelf. Come by and see what’s waiting for you this ‘Lucky Day’!”

Some titles that will be available through the Lucky Day collection include:

• Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee
• The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo
• The Scam by Janet Evanovich
• Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knolls
• Paper Towns by John Green
