Yolo County, CA (MPG) - Join the Yolo County Library and the Astronomy Club of UC Davis on Friday, October 16th from 7 to 9 p.m. for a star party at the Yolo Branch Library, located at 37750 Sacramento Street in Yolo.

The party will begin with a discussion by Dr. Matt Richter from the UC Davis Department of Physics on how a modified Boeing 747 helps scientists with astronomy, and how it is the largest airborne observatory in the world. After the discussion, volunteers from the Astronomy Club at UC Davis will bring telescopes out for guests to look through while talking about objects in the night sky and answering questions about astronomy in general.

Families and astronomy enthusiasts of all ages are welcome to attend. This event, presented by the Yolo County Library and the UC Davis Astronomy Club, is free and no reservations are required.
