WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - Demolition of the dilapidated residential units and retail space began on March 23rd, at 1801 West Capitol Avenue. This will be the future location of the City’s first Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) development.  The PSH development will offer 85 residential units for homeless individuals, or those at risk of being homeless.

The project is being developed by Mercy Housing California, a leader in developing supportive housing in the Sacramento Region. They will provide on-site supportive services to its residents such as work readiness, substance abuse and mental health services, among others.  Demolition of the existing structures will take two to three days and construction is anticipated to begin summer 2020.
