West Sacramento Cooling Center Opening During Heat Wave

City Hall Galleria will be open from 9/6 - 9/7 from 12 pm - 9 pm as a Cooling Center.

West Sacramento, CA (MPG) - The City of West Sacramento is opening a cooling center located at City Hall in the first floor Galleria, 1110 West Capitol Avenue. The center will be open from 12 p.m. -9 p.m. from Sunday, September 6th through Monday, September 7th. Water and restrooms will be available in an air-conditioned setting.

Those wishing to visit the cooling center must strictly abide by COVID-19 prevention guidelines which include wearing a face covering and practicing social distancing. Everyone entering the facility will have their temperature taken and be screened for COVID-19 symptoms. Those who are sick will not be allowed inside. Residents are encouraged to shelter at home if possible, to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
