WOODLAND, CA, (MPG) - Even during this COVID-19 period, when many Americans, including university students, plan to travel in the five days surrounding Thanksgiving, Yolobus and Unitrans, the operator of transit service in the Davis area, are preparing to bring Sacramento and Yolo County residents to Sacramento International Airport on Wednesday, November 25th, the day before Thanksgiving. For the U.C. Davis campus, Yolobus and Unitrans bus departure times will be offset so that there is a bus leaving the UCD campus at least once every 30 minutes.

Yolobus route 42A will operate hourly from the Memorial Union bus stop between 7:30 a.m. and

9:30 p.m., and then along the regular Route 42A bus route, including stops in Davis along Anderson Road, Covell at North Sycamore, followed by Woodland stops at the County Fair Fashion Mall, just south of the Neighborhood Walmart, and on Main Street near Matmor Rd. Running 16 times per day, Yolobus Routes 42A and 42B provide regular service to and from Sacramento International Airport.

Supplementing Yolobus service, Unitrans shuttle will provide hourly service the day before Thanksgiving, to the airport, hourly between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. at the Memorial Union, followed by stops along Anderson Road, followed by Covell/N. Sycamore (near Marketplace) and then to the airport Terminals A and B.

Yolobus route 42B, which runs the opposite direction of the 42A, can be boarded in downtown Sacramento and West Sacramento.

After the holiday, Yolobus can return travelers, who can board at Yolobus stops at Terminals A and B. Departure time information is available at the Yolobus web site, as well as at the Yolobus bus shelters at airport Terminals A and B.

All riders are reminded that face coverings are required and to keep social distancing on the bus whenever possible. Yolobus also has pump hand sanitizers on each bus.
