"Allowing the public to clearly see the extent of progress in achieving our strategic goals will enhance public understanding"

WOODLAND, CA (MPG) – Yolo County has officially launched a public online dashboard entitled “Yolo Performs” for its 2020-2025 Strategic Plan. Through this online dashboard the County intends to track the plan’s progress in a transparent format to increase the public’s awareness and interaction with the plan. The public can now access the dashboard at: https://yoloperforms.yolocounty.org.

The 2020-2025 Strategic Plan was approved by the Yolo County Board of Supervisors on December 17, 2019 following a thorough development process that involved engagement with the community, advisory bodies and special districts. The plan serves as a guiding document for the Board of Supervisors to set policy direction and priorities for the County organization and is focused on five goals: Thriving Residents; Safe Communities; Sustainable Environment; Flourishing Agriculture; and Robust Economy. Each goal has associated outcomes, measurable metrics and specific strategies to aid in implementation.

In December 2020 the County began development of the “Yolo Performs” online dashboard for the Strategic Plan through its Innovation and Technology Services Department (ITSD). The “Yolo Performs” dashboard provides data for the each of the plan metrics and displays their connection to the goals, outcomes, and specific strategies. The dashboard’s interactive format will allow the public to view and track progress on each of the metrics over the course of the next five years of the Strategic Plan. Data for each metric is gathered from County staff and will be updated quarterly by the County. However, the frequency by which each metric's data is updated will depend on how frequently the data is available. Administration of the dashboard will occur through ITSD and the County Administrator’s Office.

"Allowing the public to clearly see the extent of progress in achieving our strategic goals will enhance public understanding and bolster the confidence of the public and county staff,” said Chair of the Yolo County Board of Supervisors Jim Provenza. “We appreciate this concerted and coordinated effort by the county team."

The “Yolo Performs” dashboard is now available at https://yoloperforms.yolocounty.org.
