We hope to provide comfort and encouragement to students and their families as our schools begin to reopen
WHAT: The Yolo County Children’s Alliance is known for supporting the community through resources and supplies. As we near the reopening of schools and prepare for in-person education, the financial stress of school-supply shopping weighs heavily on many of the families our organization serves. This year, we will host our 6th annual Backpack and School Supply Giveaway Day in a drive-thru fashion. At the event, YCCA staff and volunteers will be handing out new backpacks filled with supplies, snack bags, and health resources to West Sacramento parents and students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. There will also be a free COVID-19 vaccine clinic available for students and families, ages 12+, partaking in the event.
With some families still feeling the financial stress of the pandemic, we hope to provide comfort and encouragement to students and their families as our schools begin to reopen.
