WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - West Sacramento Police’s Investigation Unit is investigating the discovery of a woman’s dead body. The deceased woman’s body was located in a cement canal off of Jefferson Blvd, underneath the section of freeway known as the Pioneer Bridge.
In a press release by the West Sac Police Department (WSPD), the department stated that “the scene was secured by officers on the scene”. It continues with “The investigations unit was called out to the location”. The traffic division and the UAS (Drone) team responded to the scene and began their investigation by taking photos and a 3D scan of the area. The Yolo County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman but will give no information about her until the family has been located and notified.
