Yolo County Proclaims Weights and Measures Week.

At the February 22, 2022 Board of Supervisors meeting, the board unanimously proclaimed March 1 to 7, Weights and Measures Week, celebrating our nation’s passage of the first Weights and Measures Law on March 2, 1799, and signed by President John Adams. The Yolo County Department of Agriculture/Weights and Measures serves businesses and consumers, ensuring all weighing, measuring, and volumetric devices used in commerce are accurate in design and operation. “My colleagues and I proudly support the important work of the Yolo County Department of Agriculture/Weights and Measures and proclaim March 1-7 as Weights and Measures Week,” said Board Chair, Supervisor Angel Barajas. “We want residents to understand the work done to protect our key agriculture industry businesses and consumers across the County.”
