WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - West Sacramento Little League moved onto the next stage of the completion of the snack bar at Memorial Park Saturday. Memorial Park is the home of West Sac Little League and as part of the reconstruction process of the park, a new snack bar was built. The snack shack building is complete, but the finishing touches are a work in progress.

West Sac Little League is doing as much as they can to keep the cost of registration down so that Little League will be available to all kids, no matter what their economic situation. As part of this process, West Sac Little League is selling personalized, custom, laser etched, commemorative tiles that will become part of the snack shack.

All of the tiles are grey. However, there are two different sized tiles that can be purchased with a wide range of options on how they will look. A 4” x 8” tile, with only laser etched text is $100. You can add a picture to that tile from a clip art library that is provided on the league’s website for an additional $50.

The larger 8” x 8” tile with only text is $250 and to add a picture from the clip art library, the price bumps up to $300. There is also another option. You can add your own personalized logo, such as the logo from your business on an 8” x 8” tile for $500.

The league will continue to take orders and have the tiles made, but they will not be attached until a batch is complete. There will be designated spaces on the exterior of the building for the tiles and the remaining space will be filled in with brick. If you purchase a tile and don’t see it up on the building right away, please don’t get frustrated. It will be included as soon as that batch is complete.

Kevin McKeever, of McKeever Masonry, is a West Sac resident and a former Little Leaguer. He and his crew are installing the tiles and brick. There is limited space for getting a tile with your name and/or logo up on the wall so don’t wait too long. If you support West Sac Little League, if you know someone that is significant and you feel should be included, or if you want to permanently include your company’s name somewhere that hundreds of people will see it, every year, then consider purchasing a tile.
