Redistricting is moving right along. Right now, they are in the map making stage.  Paul Hosley, Public Information Officer provided this statement, “The transition to District Elections will result in representation on the City Council from all parts of the city for a more inclusive election. The City is making this change to assure that all sectors of our community have an opportunity to participate in the democratic process.” You can log onto www.cityofwestsacramento.org/government/city-clerk-s-office/district-election-1336 to look at the suggested maps. You really should check them out! This entire process is expected to be completed by sometime in May. The new system will be in place for November’s election.
