Site tested thousands of residents in 8 months of operation

WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - After an eight-month run and thousands of tests, the COVID-19 testing clinic in the Galleria at City Hall is concluding operations on June 30, along with other saliva-based testing locations in Davis and Woodland managed by Health Yolo Together.

In West Sacramento, 1434 positives were identified in a total of 45491 tests conducted. More than 8,800 COVID-19 vaccines were dispensed at clinics throughout West Sacramento.

Individuals wishing to get tested can still do so by contacting their doctor or checking with retail pharmacies.

OptumServe testing is available Thursday-Sunday in Woodland and offers antigen and PCR tests. Free antigen at home tests is still available to order via mail https://www.covid.gov/tests. There are also limited free home test kits available at Yolo County libraries and soon will be offered in vending machines at City Hall. For more testing options, please visit  www.YoloCounty.org/Covid
