Yolo County Children's Alliance Empowers Families with Free Tax Assistance

WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - Yolo County Children's Alliance (YCCA), an organization dedicated to the well-being of local families, is excited to announce its renewed partnerships with Yolo County and United Way California Capital Region to provide free tax assistance through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. Families in Yolo County with a household income of less than $66,000 can qualify. 

Key Features of the Free Tax Prep Program:

1. Maximize Refunds: Qualifying families can take advantage of state and federal credits such as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), Young Child Tax Credit, and the new Foster Youth Tax Credit, providing crucial financial support. 

2. Save on Tax Preparation Fees: If your 2023 household income was less than $66,000, the program can help you save an average of $200 in tax preparation fees.

3. Convenient Locations: Appointments are available now at the following locations throughout Yolo County:

• UC Davis; Call 2-1-1

• RISE in Esparto; Call (530) 787-4110

• Arthur F. Turner Library in West Sacramento; Call 2-1-1

Yolo County Children’s Alliance is proud to partner with Yolo County to bring these essential tax services to various communities across the county. Families can schedule an appointment at their preferred location by calling 2-1-1.
