WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) – As the holiday season descends upon the City of West Sacramento, cooler temps and fog shrouded mornings will give way to dazzling light displays and festive holiday events throughout December. Here are a few of the regional holiday events and offerings available to delight kids of all ages.

West Sacramento Tree Lighting

Join the City of West Sacramento and the West Sacramento Chamber of Commerce on Friday, Dec. 6, as they kick off the season with the annual Winter Wonderland Tree Lighting festivities in front of City Hall. The event is scheduled from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

The Chamber of Commerce website describes the event, “This is a FREE community event, so gather up your family, friends, and neighbors and join the community for an evening of holiday fun! Enjoy live local musical performances, FREE pictures with Santa, hot cocoa and cookies for the kids, and other fun activities.”

“No need to register, just show up in front of City Hall in your festive holiday outfit and plan on having tons of fun. Did we mention FREE pictures with Santa? Can't wait to see you all there.”

The chamber is looking for volunteers to support the annual tree lighting ceremony. Time slots available for set up, during event and breakdown. For more information, contact the chamber at 916-371-7042.
