YOLO COUNTY, CA (MPG) - This September, the Yolo County Library invites you to celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month and discover how a single card can unlock endless opportunities.

A library card is more than just a way to check out books, it’s a passport to knowledge, creativity, and community. From free classes and job resources to homework help, internet access, and cultural events, today’s libraries are hubs where people of all ages come together to learn, connect, and thrive.

This year’s theme, “One Card, Endless Possibilities,” is a reminder that libraries are for everyone, no matter your age, background or goals. Whether you're diving into a new hobby, searching for your next great read, brushing up on tech skills or helping your child succeed in school, it all starts with a library card.

At the Yolo County Library, cardholders enjoy access to books, movies, music, eBooks, internet computers, quiet study spaces and the support of knowledgeable staff.

Cardholders will also have access to board games, Nature Explorer Backpacks, California State Library Parks Passes; STEM2Go Kits that encourage curiosity in science, technology, engineering, and math; discovery kits on meditation, cake decorating, chakras, fortune telling, ukeleles, and more.

Programs and events are for all ages, from story times and book clubs to job search support and tech help.

Signing up is free, easy and empowering. For students, a library card is a key to academic success. For adults, it’s a gateway to lifelong learning. For everyone, it’s a smart way to stay connected to the community.

To celebrate, join us throughout September for a special Library Card Sign-Up Month Scavenger Hunt. Explore what’s inside your library one clue at a time and earn a sweet treat when you finish.

In recognition of Library Card Sign-Up Month and Banned Book Week from Oct. 6 through 13, Yolo County Library will also debut a limited-edition card design that highlights a core message of the American Library Association: “The right to read belongs to all of us and censorship has no place in contemporary society.”

Stop by any branch or visit us online at www.YoloCountyLibrary.org to get your card today. Because with a Yolo County Library card, the possibilities are truly endless.
