Ella Kraft Named Big Sky Women’s Golfer of the Week

SACRAMENTO REGION, CA (MPG) – California State University, Sacramento senior Ella Kraft was named the Big Sky Women's Golfer of the Week, it was announced on Sept. 10.
The honor is the second of Kraft's career.
Competing at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, New
Mexico, Kraft claimed her first collegiate victory with rounds of
70-69-72-211. That total was tied for the second lowest of her career and made her the
second Hornet to win an individual title during the first tournament of the
season.
Kraft also moved into a tie with Jennifer Koga
(2021-24) for the most career rounds in the 60s with 13.
The Uppsala, Sweden native also helped the Hornets win the team championship.
Sacramento State University finished four strokes ahead of the Cal State
Fullerton team, which is coming off a National Collegiate Athletic
Association (NCAA) Championships appearance.
Sacramento State University will next compete at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic
in Wolcott, Colorado on Sept. 22 to Sept. 24.
