SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - The 2025 Walter and Olga Strand Junior/Senior City Championship was held Sept. 7 at Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course.

Cinnamon Danielson and Parker Barrett of Chico captured the championship in the Handicap Division with a net score of 63.5.

In the Callaway Division, for teams without official handicaps, Harrison Elliott (age 12) of Orangevale and Will Harvey of Oregon House took the title with a score of 66.

The champion team is determined by the lowest net score in the Handicap Division. Teams without handicaps are placed in the Callaway Division.

The Junior/Senior Championship pairs golfers 18 years or younger with a senior partner at least 15 years older. The 18-hole team event was played in the Chapman Scotch format: both players hit a tee shot, switch balls for the second shot, then select one ball and alternate shots until holed.

Sacramento Golf Council volunteer Greg Bisi served as tournament director.

The nonprofit volunteer-run Sacramento Golf Council conducts quality golf tournaments at Sacramento city and county golf courses in the Sacramento Metropolitan area for men and women of all ages and abilities, and juniors.
