West Sac Chamber Celebrates Community and Leadership

WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) – The West Sacramento Chamber of Commerce celebrated an evening of community and leadership at their 79th Annual Installation & Awards Dinner held at West Sacramento City Hall, 1110 W Capitol Ave. on Jan. 15. Approximately 215 local leaders and members of the business community gathered to honor award recipients and welcome new board members.
Several significant community awards were presented at the chamber event including the Art Savage Entrepreneur of the Year award which went to Kurt Swanson, owner of West Sacramento Midas, and the Mike McGowan West Sacramento Achievement Award which went to Jaclyn Powell, Smith, McDowell & Powell, A Law Corporation.
Amrik Singh, president/CEO of Twins Hospitality was awarded Businessperson of the Year, The BLVD! was awarded Business of the Year and Sarah Barkawi was named Volunteer of the Year. Jessica Culp, Herc Rentals was awarded West Sacramento Chamber Connector of the Year.

The event also welcomed the 2026 West Sacramento Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and officers, with the new board chair Damon Moreno giving an acceptance speech at the event. Joe Cadelago is First Vice Chair (2027), Danielle Bettencourt is Second Vice Chair (2008) and Dustin Dumars is Treasurer.
The 2026 Board of Directors are Rohit Nayar, Chris White, Daniel Corvig, Don Bosley, Amy Day, Clay Merrill, Jeremiah Z. Smith, Ryan Maguire, Chip Maxson, Jaclyn Powell, Amit Skah, M.D., and Phil Hinkel.
The event offered networking opportunities, community civic engagement, professional recognition and economic stimulation for the West Sacramento region as we enter a new year.
