Earth Day Celebration Returns

WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) – West Sacramento residents are invited to celebrate Earth Day at Bryte Park, 1225 Carrie St., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 4. Learn about conservation while enjoying music, food, shopping and interactive activities at one of West Sacramento’s city parks. 

This free, family-friendly event will offer resources for living more sustainably, unique craft items from local artisans and flavorful creations from local fresh food vendors. Egg hunts featuring 2,500 eggs will take place at 10:30 a.m. for ages 4 and under, 11 a.m. for ages 5 to 7 and 11:30 a.m. for ages 8 to 12.

The first 50 people who arrive to the info booth will receive a free taco (limit of four tacos per family). 50 free ticket vouchers will be given to the first people to visit the River Cats booth and sign up for their newsletter (limit two per fan).

Guests will have opportunities to receive free three-gallon recycling bins, kitchen pails and compostable bags (while supplies last). There will be a free compost giveaway and a free raffle including tickets to the A’s, Sacramento River Cats and Sacramento Republic FC.

Non-releasable Birds of Prey Ambassadors from Hawks, Honkers & Hoot will be present at the event, along with the West Sacramento Fire Department and their engine.
