YOLO COUNTY, CA (MPG) – The Yolo County Library Foundation has announced its second annual fundraising event, “Mary’s Supper for Stories,” hosted by Dr. Mary Vixie Sandy, Yolo County Supervisor, 3rd district, a longtime advocate for equity and education in our community.

The event, scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. April 16 at the Woodland Community & Senior Center will raise vital funds to support Yolo County Library's bookmobile services and ESL classes providing powerful materials, information and joy to the most under-resourced Yolo County residents providing access despite funding constraints.

Dr. Mary Vixie Sandy has over 31 years of experience as a policy leader in higher education and government and has dedicated her career to improving the lives of those in her community. Her passion for equity in education aligns with the Yolo County Library Foundation’s mission to provide financial support to all eight branches of the Yolo County Library system, allowing every resident to benefit from the library's resources, regardless of their ability to visit a physical branch.

Mary’s Supper for Stories is more than a fundraising event – it’s a celebration of the power of literacy and community. The evening will bring together individuals and organizations who share a commitment to promoting education and equity through books and library programming. The evening includes a multicultural feast and stories!
