WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) – In March, my office was pleased to join staff from the offices of Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry, Senator Christopher Cabaldon and Congresswoman Doris Matsui for a shared office hours event at the Arthur F. Turner Community Library in West Sacramento. My staff, Jack and Viviana, were there alongside staff from our state and federal representatives to meet directly with residents and listen to the concerns affecting their lives and our community.

This event offers a unique opportunity to bring multiple levels of government together in one accessible location. Residents were able to speak directly with staff from their county, state, and federal representatives about issues that mattered to them, and just as importantly, they could be guided to the appropriate office when they were unsure where to start.

Too often, residents are left trying to navigate government systems on their own. Having all of these offices present at the same time helped make that process easier, more responsive, and more personal. I am grateful to everyone who stopped by to share their concerns and connect with us. We will be continuing this effort and will be holding more events like this in the future in both West Sacramento and Clarksburg.
