YOLO, CA (MPG) - Yolo County Library and the Friends of the Yolo Branch Library will host the annual “Cruisin’ into the Next Chapter” Classic Car and Truck Show on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The free, family-friendly event drew more than 900 people in 2025 and will take place at and around the Yolo Branch Library, 37750 Sacramento St., in the town of Yolo, about a five-minute drive north of Woodland.

More than 100 classic cars and trucks will be on display, along with antique fire trucks, tractors and engines. The event will also feature a lowrider bike show for all ages. New this year, TrackLab 4WD will bring its multi-lane Mini 4WD racing course to the library lawn, where people of all skill levels, including beginners, can race small, battery-powered model cars.

Children can receive free books and take part in activities throughout the event, with free balloon creations available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visitors can also enjoy food, vendors and music by Chris Rockwell, enter drawings for prizes, and purchase event T-shirts and Yolo souvenirs.

The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Yolo Branch Library and Yolo County Library. Proceeds will support the Yolo Branch Library, which serves Yolo, Zamora, Dunnigan and surrounding areas. The Yolo Fire Protection District, Miguel Vasquez, Yolo Market, Cache Creek High School, dozens of local businesses and organizations, and community volunteers have contributed to making the event possible.
