WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) – Washington Unified School District (WUSD) is proud to celebrate the exceptional employees selected as 2026-27 Yolo County Classified School Employees of the Year.

Yolo County’s Excellence in Education Awards program selected these WUSD honorees, recognizing school employees whose work has a lasting impact on students, families, colleagues and their school communities.

Their selection reflects outstanding performance, leadership, service, school and community involvement, and a commitment to going above and beyond for students.

Join us in congratulating the following honorees representing WUSD as the 2026-27 Yolo County Classified School Employees of the Year:

Custodial and Maintenance Services: Joseph Looby, Custodian, Southport TK-8, Washington Unified School District

Health and Student Services: Salvador Vega, Jr., Youth Outreach Specialist, Washington Unified School District

Paraprofessional Services: Reshmi Ratna, Paraeducator III, Bridgeway Island K-8 School, Washington Unified School District

Security Services: Patricia Arauza, Campus Aide, Westfield Village K-8 School, Washington Unified School District

Technical Services: Michael Bingham, Technology Technician II, Washington Unified School District
