WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - On Thursday, February 8, at approximately 4:00pm, Officers responded to a call of an assault with a deadly weapon with multiple subjects assaulting a victim in the area of 6th and F Streets. The victim had significant injuries and was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. The suspects fled the scene, and were located in the area of Kegle, Joan and Sharian Streets. Officers set up a perimeter and began searching for the suspects with a police K9 as well as air support.

Two suspects were taken into custody, and the SWAT team was able to safely search the homes and area within the perimeter and determined no other suspects were inside. Both residences in question were searched, and four handguns, including two which were found to be stolen along with extended magazines, ammunition and additional evidence related to the earlier assault were collected.
