West Sacramento Home Run Ready, Set, Save program- Ready, Set, Save has released the calendar of pre-approved earning incentives for March. Ten events are approved for the 0-4 age group, 14 events approved for the 14 to 16 age group and three approved family events.

Family events in March are a family formal dance, a college savings workshop and Earth Day and spring celebration. Family events carry a $20 incentive. Log on to wshomerun.org for details.

Turner Library – The schedule of events for Turner Library, located at 1212 Merkley Ave., include:

-Mondays – Maker Mondays and family storytime

-Tuesdays – Hug-a-bye Baby and Spanish conversion

-Wednesdays – Wiggle Wednesday, English conversion and one other event (March 13 is book club, March 20 is Teen Anime Club and March 27 is Teen Movie and Friends of the Library)

-Thursdays – Hara de Cuentos and yoga at the library

-Fridays – English conversion. Also, March 15 is a Lego Block Party and March 29 is a retro family movie.

-Saturdays – Bilingual Russian storytime and Tax Help appointments. Go to yolocountylibrary.org or call 916-375-6465 for times and details.

Denim & Diamonds Family Formal Dance – The city of West Sacramento Parks and Recreation Department will host a formal family dance, Denim & Diamonds, on March 22 and March 23. The Denim & Diamonds family event includes dinner, dancing, crafts, photo opportunities and more at the City Hall Galleria, located at 1110 West Capitol Ave., from 6 to 9 p.m. Space is limited and tickets are required. West Sacramento resident ticket prices for one night are $120 for a parent and one child, $35 for additional child and $85 for additional parent.

Non-residents can buy tickets with an additional $8 non-resident fee. Tickets can be bought in person at the West Sacramento Community Center and the Recreation Center office, or online at https://westsacfun.activityreg.com/selectactivity_t2.wcs.

City Council – Reminder that the next City Council meeting will be at 7 p.m. March 20 at City Hall at 1110 W. Capitol Ave., West Sacramento. The city of West Sacramento invites residents to attend and share their concerns and compliments during public comment. Residents’ opinions can help to shape the city’s development.

Capital Projects Community Listening Sessions - The Capital Projects Department wants resident feedback regarding community engagement and outreach related to Capital Improvement Projects (CIPs). Join the department from 9 to 10 a.m. March 9 at the West Sacramento Recreation Center, 2801 Jefferson Blvd. or from 11 a.m. to noon March 9 at the West Sacramento City Hall first floor, 1110 West Capitol Ave. Feedback can also be given   from 6 to 7 p.m. March 13 at Bryte Career and College Training, 637 Todhunter Ave.

Earth Day and Spring Celebration – The free Earth Day and Spring Celebration is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 30 at Bryte Park, l425 Todhunter Ave., West Sacramento. Learn, play, shop, eat and have fun at the community event! An egg hunt will be at 10:30 a.m. for ages 4 and under, 11 a.m. for ages 5 to 7 and 11:30 a.m. for ages 8 to 12.
