WOODLAND, CA (MPG) - The Gibson House has a new temporary exhibition, "Pathways of Resistance: Women at the Turn of the 20th Century."

This new exhibition, part of the Yolo County Historical Collection, delves into how women achieved independence through increased access to education, voting rights, and liberation from restrictive clothing, enabling them to pursue new opportunities, carve out a place in society, and amplify their voices.

Recently reopened is the second floor of the Gibson House. Both floors feature newly-curated rooms showcasing objects from the Yolo County Historical Collection.

"Pathways of Resistance: Women at the Turn of the 20th Century" will be on display until June 2, with regular open hours from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursdays.

Admission is free.

The Gibson House is located at 512 Gibson Road in Woodland.
